Babolat Y Racquets + VS Natural Gut String = Happy

Babolat Y Racquets strung with VS Natural Gut are awesome... like peanut butter and jelly.

Like peanut butter and jelly, they're sold separately.

In some of the Babolat Y Racquet listings on the site, I wrote that the price of the racquet includes the string.

I've fixed these listings, and I'm uploading an edited video to YouTube right now, as I write.

Sorry for the mix-up, and thanks for visiting TheTennisZone.com!

Babolat Y 112 Smart Grip

Djokovic, Babolat, Wilson Kobra... A lot of new things, and a lot of new interest.

Wilson Tennis, Head Tennis, Djokovic Racquet, Head Shoes, K Swiss Misoul... I could go on with the list of new stuff we've gotten in the last month or so.

It's keeping us pretty busy.

Because it's been so busy, we're going to be fixing our online inventory this weekend to make shopping even easier on TheTennisZone.com.

Beginning today, I'll be changing SKUs to match our store inventory.

If you happen to be shopping and experience an error, let us know, and we'll take care of it right away!

We've been meeting all kinds of great people through our new website, and lately, I've been figuring out exactly how our new customers are finding out about us.

I've become obsessed with Google Analytics.

Google Analytics tells us how how much traffic we get, where it comes from, and so on.

It seems most of you are finding us through Google, this blog, our youtube videos and Revver.

So, thanks for following all the signs to our site!

Here's another sign...

Babolat Y Series - Oversize Racquet with Midplus Control

The Babolat Y Oversize Series has been pushed as an obsession.

Racquet companies love to use gimmicks to promote their racquets, but in the end, the quality of the racquet often does not come close to all the promises.

With the Babolat Y series though, it's clear these racquets have been carefully constructed with the smaller, club or recreational player in mind.

Crazy string patterns, holes all over the racquet, and triangular frames are what have made oversizes stand out before.

Now, Babolat is using actual quality and performance in order to sell its new oversize frames.

Demo one, or pre-order one at TheTennisZone.com

We'll have all of these in stock in a few days!!

RE: High School Special... New Arrivals... Racquet Promotion?

Head, Wilson, Dunlop, Babolat New Arrivals At TheTennisZone.com

Greetings Tennis Zone Customers!

Boy do we have some interesting updates that are going have you playing in the Zone all weekend long.

Let's start with the most important issue of the early spring: keeping teenagers warm.

Stay Warm This Season

Who's been playing outside?

I wouldn't dare, but I know there are kids out there practicing everyday until very late, so we have been thinking about what we can do for you.

For one thing, we've been thinking a lot about your feet

*All socks are Buy 2, Get 1 (We recommend the Thorlo Thick Cushion - If you don't like them, you get a refund)

*Grips are Buy 2, Get 1 (Fight the cold weather with a cushier grip, maybe an Ergo Feel, that doesn't get hard as a rock when it's cold.)

*Fleece Nike Hoodies in solid team colors are 40% Off.

*All accessories, including tennis-themed blankets, are 25% Off.

Think of how much better life would be this season for the player, fan, coach or manager that took advantage of all four of those deals. - It'll make you win more.

Okay, that was overboard, but really, who likes cold feet or a frozen grip you can't feel? - Get some socks. Get some grips.

Who wants to retreat inside the bus to watch that last third-singles three-setter that just won't end? - Get a tennis blanket and stay outside.

This promotion starts Saturday at 9am and ends Sunday at 6pm.

The Racquet Of The Future: Demo It Now

The new Babolat Y 112 and Babolat Y 118 Ovversize racquets are on their way to the shop right now!

They look like interesting pieces don't they?

Fix Your Grip, Sweetheart

They should hit our site and our racks in just a few days.

Right now, we're editing an informational video with the new racquet, talking about what all this new technology does for your game.

Give it a few hours, and it should be hitting the blog.

Also, don't forget the new Wilson [K]obra Tour and Wilson [K]obra Team FX, built with the clay-courter in mind.

These racquets, you'll notice, are a bit wider than average, allowing for more friction and a ton of spin.

Wilson Kobra Team FX

Wilson Kobra Tour

As for the new Novak Djokovic Head Racquet, go to the blog, and you'll see why we have no new information to give you, except for a funny video.

It appears Head is giving Nole some creative control (maybe overall control?) in marketing the new stick.

New Novak Djokovic Head Racquet - What is it????

Other new arrivals include several new styles of Head and Wilson Shoes, and a ton of new bags.

Free Gifts For Everybody! - Just Do One Thing For Us.

Try any Head Crossbow from our shop, from Kettering or Quail Run Tennis Centers, or from the internet and get a free gift!

It sounds tacky, I know... and it is!

But what am I going to do with 50 water bottles, bottle openers, and watches?

I just want more people to try a pretty interesting technology that has been very underrated.

The club player will love the feel of this racquet.

It's a fun piece to try out, and if you don't like it, hey, at least you have a water bottle for the season, or a watch for the next couple months or so (I figure that's about how long the watches last.)

Come play in the Zone this weekend, get your sales, get your new stuff, get your racquet strung for $8, and do some serious winning this week.

See you at the Zone.

Novak Djokovic - Speed Lessons (The Smash)

Novak Djokovic Video

I don't know for sure, but it appears Novak Djokovic is being given a lot of creative control at Head.

Here his speed lesson on the smash.

We spoke with our Head rep yesterday.

He tells us no one is really sure.

We have been informed that another guy in the top ten has been practicing with the same racquet.

More on that, and actually how many racquets there are going to be in this racquet series... in the next post.

So here's the video.

We'll be sending an email about some awesome weekend sales, promotions and info about new arrivals in just a bit.

In the meanwhile, here's a pointless video.

Novak Djokovic, everybody.

Novak Djokovic - New Head Racquet

Novak Djokovic

Djokovic Racquet Promotion - I'm not sure what this is.

Greetings, Tennis Zone Customers.

I've been trying to figure out two things this weekend, so let me know if you can help...

1.) What can I call a Tennis Zone customer that sounds more lively and catchy?

A TZer? A Zoner? A Tennis Zoner? - Let me know.

2.) Next up, what is up with this new Djokovic-going-to-Head thing?

What's up with the new stick? - He's playing with it everywhere, but I have no idea what it is.

Not many people other than Novak know.

I don't even know if our rep knows.

Not a whole lot has been said about this new racquet, due out this May.

I have nothing to tell you about it, except that we will have it available as soon as it comes out.

All I really have to show you is this video, which will probably just confuse you more.

Find more at SpeedLessons.com.

There is nothing that will help you learn more, but I laughed, so I'm referring you along.

Enjoy.
