Im addicted to drugs!!!
Of course Aggasi would announce this a week before release, it made headlines across the world that he did Meth and where to find it...IN HIS BOOK!! Everyone was going to find out anyways so tell everyone a week before, blow it up and watch the sales roll in. You can't really blame the guy though, there is no way the book would have sold the amount of coppies that it did.
For all of you Aggasi lovers don't start hating him yet...If you read the book you will see that this wasnt an addiction based situation, it was mearly an experiment...yeeeaa probably wouldn't have picked METH to try but im sure there has been a time or two that you tried somthing new. Well after only three days Aggasi decided that it wasn't for him and did not continue using the drug.
Just a reminder that you can't judge a book by its cover so go out and READ THIS BOOK and get the real scoop on Aggasi and his AMAZING wild ride through his eyes.

You are gonna do what with that ball???!!!!
If you are not sure lets just add in some of the details. It's 6-5 in the second set in the FINALS...THE FINALS! Serena hits her first serve, misses...second serve, FOOT FAULT to make the game 15-40 with Serena serving on a match point against her. Instead of admitting her mistake, keeping her cool and continuing to try to win one of her most important matches in her life she decides to threaten the lines judge...WRONG!!! Serena tells the lines official that she was "going to shove a ******* ball down her ******* throat" in turn got her tossed from the match.
1. She is an idiot for going off in the first place. I heard people say let em play but when someone clearly breaks a rule in any sport you have to abide by the rules. There is no player that gets special treatment on tour why should a women who screams every point anyway and drives people away from tennis get any different treatment.
2. There was no reason to take this situation as far as she did. The things she said were unproffesional and imature.
3. I hope she gets knocked of of doubles as well as the single.

Andy Murray And His Head Radical - Why No Switch?
Andy Murray, the Scottish tennis professional, said to the tennis company, Head that he would switch racquets.
The plan was for Murray to stop using the Head Microgel Radical Tennis Racket, and start using the Head YOUTEK Radical Pro.
The switch was supposed to be just before Wimbledon.
If you've been watching, you've seen Murray using the old Microgel Radical, which has been discontinued!
Apparently, the Scot decided not to use the YOUTEK, or even do a paintjob on his Microgel.
We're told he just wanted everything about his new stick to be the same, even cosmetically, because he likes the Microgel so much.
So what we have is Head's "franchise player" who was supposed to carry the new racquet series, still playing with the old version at the biggest tournament in the world.
He's giving tons of exposure to the racquet that we don't even have anymore (We're working on finding more).
I guess now, the plan is for Murray to switch to the YOUTEK Radical after Wimbledon.
But what if he wins Wimbledon with the Microgel?
What then?
Would he really want to switch?
Either way, the YOUTEK racquets play very well, and sell accordingly.
Demo one if you don't believe me.
I'll even throw in a free gift.
Cheap move, I know.
So the big guy isn't using it, but we'll get over it.
Email us, Call us or buy the new Head YOUTEK Radicals through the site.
Oh, and mention this blog post to get a free Natural Gut string job.
Thanks for playing in The Zone.

Adidas Barricades - The New Summer Line Is Here... and Hot
Hey Adidas fans... NEWSFLASH!
The new kicks are in, and looking better than ever.
These shoes are great, when i first looked at these shoes i was hooked.
From the style to the playability these shoes top the charts!
The new Barricades are great for the hard courts and i found great comfort and grab on the clay as well.
If you go through shoes too quickly, like most competitive tennis players, the Barricades won't let you down with now even more outsoul protection.
Just buy them.
If you hate them (you would be in the minority), I'm sure you'll find someone at your club to sell them to... because they are the hottest shoes in tennis.
Adidas guarantees these shoes will last six months.
If you have doubts, try them, wear them out, and get a brand new pair, as long as you finish them off within six months.

Asics Tennis Shoes - My Collection
Taking Orders For Old And New Asics
Hi Asics fans.
What a long day.
I worked at the shop, did a few tennis lessons downtown and then went on a 9-mile run...
...And the Asics helped me get through it all... comfortably.
At the shop, I wore the Gel Resolution 2 (far right, $90).
I broke them in, and even sold a couple (a couple shoes, so one pair).
For my lessons, I wore the Gel Resolution from 2008 (far left, $75).
For my run, I wore the runners (second from left, $100).
You see the duct tape, I'm sure.
That's my Nike Plus receiver taped to the tongue, because I like to time my runs, but I switched to Asics for my running needs.
I then went out for the evening, and boom - three comments from three different people about my old, worn down Asics "Tigers" (second from right 85$), which I bought at Urban Outfitters several years ago.
Currently, we don't sell Asics through our website, but contact us with an order and we'll get a pair right out to you, shipped free.
Play In The Zone, and we'll take good care of you.

Tennis Rackets - Free Natural Gut, Free Shipping, Through Friday
Hello Tennis Zone Customers!
I posted this to Twitter, and we got a couple sales, so I'm posting it here too, without the character limit...
For the rest of the week, we are offering free stringing with Babolat Tonic + Natural Gut Tennis String, anytime you buy a full-size racket from The Tennis Zone!
If Tonic isn't your thing, you can choose from any another string at the same price ($31.99).
Come play in the zone (or order online), and find out what Natural Gut is all about.
If you have elbow issues, try natural gut, and prepare to feel, well, most likely nothing.
Hitting the ball should feel a little more like hitting a marshmallow, because the gut absorbs vibration, only letting your arm feel enough to place the ball.
I highly recommend Tonic, especially to a hard-hitting all-courter looking for more precision.
Play in the Zone.
Thanks for checkin out the blog.

Babolat Pure Drive GT Series - On Sale Now!
You've seen Andy Roddick playing with it, and until now, all you've noticed is that it's a different type of blue.
Actually, as far as updates to the previous frame go, that's the biggest one.
I have hit with both standard-size versions though, and I think there might be a little more feedback in the newer frames, instead of the stiffer feel of last season's Pure Drives.
Maybe it's in my head.
Anyhow, the Babolat Pure Drive GT Series is for sale now at TheTennisZone.com.
Each racquet in the series has the same make-up and specs as its previous version.
One difference is the blending of Tungsten and Graphite in he frame for a slight change in feel.
I don't know.
Maybe there's no significant difference.
Just demo one, and let us know your thoughts.
Either way, it's a fun racquet to use, especially the lightest version.
When you demo, remember that you'll get a discount when you decide to buy (from us, of course).
Be sure to check out the listing for the updated Babolat Drive Z Lite, too!
Go Babolat.

Donate Old Rackets - Get $30 Off Your Next Racket!!
Let's face it... Rackets are expensive!
In The Tennis Zone's 16 months of existence, we've done some good things for the community, but we are yet to do a wide-scale project that affects a lot of people.
Here's our idea:
Bring in *any* racket that has been made in the last ten years that is in good enough condition for someone else to play with.
We'll take a look at it, and most likely, that donation will get you a $30.00 credit toward your next new racket from The Tennis Zone.
This credit can go toward *any* new model, full-size racket!
It's that simple, and how good will you feel?
Keep in mind, that we are not going to re-sell the rackets you bring in.
We are giving them al away.
We have already been in contact with local high schools, boys and girls' clubs, the YMCA, USTA and others who are really excited about this new promotion!
This is our way of generating interest in our store, promoting the sport, giving customers a break, and of course, helping others (mainly kids) get free equipment.
You'll see signs at your local clubs, in our shop, and at your local public courts.
And of course, we're going to make a mention of it everytime we send out an email or post on our blog.
We're running this $30-Off promotion until June 30th.
We are limiting this to two per person, meaning you can get $30.00 off once on one racket, then another $30.00 off on another racket, so long as your donations are in good condition.
The promotion starts... right.... now!
So find those rackets, bring them in, help yourself, and help someone else!
If you're an online customer, send us your old racket, and we'll log your information so that when you decide to buy a new racket, you'll get the discount in the form of a $30.00 refund via paypal or to your credit card.
Questions? - Just email me!

Lacoste Mother's Day Sale - Here's How To Get The Deep Discounts
Lacoste is my favorite brand for tennis apparel, by far.
Since we've removed our Lacoste items from our website, we've been getting a lot of questions and comments from Lacoste fans wondering where they all went.
"What happened to Lacoste?"
"Where is my Lacoste?"
"Where the $%#& did the Lacoste go?"
Well, they didn't disappear.
In fact, we recently received a new shipment of Lacoste shoes, tennis gear and casual wear.
A couple months ago, we did have to take down the Lacoste items from the site, as our request to sell online has not been completely processed yet.
No biggie.
We still have it.
On top of that, we are throwing another big Lacoste sale this weekend, and everyone has access, even without the items being sold directly through the site.
Until Sunday, May 10th, every Lacoste item in the store is 40% Off!!
Look at that reduction!
Okay, I'm done with the small talk.
Here are the ways you can get Lacoste apparel, shoes and accessories from us at a discount:
1.) Come to our showroom and buy it. - Easy, unless you don't live near Dayton, Ohio.
2.) Email us directly at info@thetenniszone.com with your size preference, style and color preferences or exact items you would like to buy. We'll send you a photo album with images of all our awesome Lacoste stuff.
3.) Call us at (877) 499-6638 with that same information.
4.) Fill in the "Contact Us" form on the site with your requests.
5.) Find us on Facebook (search "Ben Nandy") or Tennisopolis, and let us know what you're looking for.
Place an order before Sunday at 6pm, and you are in, before the prices go back to normal.
Place an order of $75.00 or more (shouldn't be hard to reach that amount), and get free domestic UPS ground shipping with tracking or a shipping discount if you're an international customer.
Easy, right?
Play in the zone this weekend to save and become your mom's favorite child.
So there you go.
Other completely unrelated, yet very exciting notes:
*The ultra-hot Dunlop Aerogel 4D 200 Tennis Racquet in a 16x19 string pattern is only available through us.

Dunlop Aerogel 4D 200 Tennis Racquet 16 x 19 - A Fun Ride
First of all, let me just say that I'm going to use to the word, "Racket" more often, instead of just using "Racquet," because we're learning that's what's being typed into searches.
So, from now on, you'll see both. - That's all.
Now, this beautiful racquet.
It's Dunlop.
It's rare.
It's not available anywhere in the United States... anywhere.
Except for one place
Can you believe it?
Take James Blake's racquet, widen out the strings, take some weight out of the handle to change the balance, and you have a racquet that allows for more grip on the ball, and easier swing.
I'm very impressed with the feel.
I'm also very impressed with the paint job.
We have been meeting a lot of tennis junkies over this racket lately, and have had some interesting debate about weighting rackets, stringing rackets and basically loving rackets.
Wow, you do love your rackets.
Keep in mind, we are still doing free synthetic stringing and 3rd Day (or sooner) shipping for this Dunlop until the end of April.
Play in the Zone.
On another note, please relax, the Power Balance is coming soon.

Rafael Nadal French Open Polo - Nike Summer Bold Tennis Polo
What do you guys think of these new polos?
Same style, different colors every few tournaments.
The next one is due out at the French Open.
The fit of the New Nadal Polo, the Nike Summer Bold Tennis Open Polo is tight and very, lets say, European.
I have been wearing some of these pink (ish) Nike items around the shop mainly to generate interest, and partly because I like the colors. - Ahem, this one is "Light Rose," not pink.
Locally, interest in wearing is sparse, but we are getting many inquiries through our website and this blog.
Are you secure enough to wear it?
Can you "pull it off?"
The tight nylon/spandex material and the mesh on the sides keep you cool.
The two-button collar, stylish small pocket with logo, and thick hem at the bottom keep you "cool."
Add to your statement a pair of Nike Air Max Courtballistec 1.3 Shoes with Pink Swoosh, and you are clearly ahead of your time.
Buy both through TheTennisZone.com, and you are getting $25.00 in store credit on the spot, just because.
We're just glad to see more and more of you turning to the Zone for your tennis needs.
Our selection is growing.
Our ordering process is easy, and we same-day ship on all orders received before 1pm.
Oh, and shipping, of course, is free for all orders over $75.00.
Join our email list through the site, or just by emailing me at info@thetenniszone.com.
Send us your requests, questions, comments, photos and suggestions anytime!

Dunlop Aerogel 4D 2hundred 16 x 19 Tennis Racquet - It Bites!
Greetings, Tennis Zone Customers!
The Dunlop Aerogel 4D 2 hundred Tennis Racket truly does bite!
The open string pattern makes a huge difference in my hits.
On a technically sound low-to-high topspin forehand, the strings grab the ball just a little more... enough to lift the ball up over the net with more spin than with a tight string pattern.
On top of that, the weight and flexibility of the racquet allow me to swing away at the ball with good control and direction.
If you're an aggressive 4.0+ baseliner, string this racket with some thin big banger on the mains and a soft synthetic gut on the crosses to get maximum power and control.
Just be prepared to buy more balls, because you will be shredding them with the Dunlop Aerogel 4D 200 16 x 19!
Did you know Tennis Zone is the only US retailer with these racquets?
Just go for it.
If you buy this racquet, then find out that it's not for you (I don't know how that would ever be the case!), send it back and receive at least some store credit toward your next purchase depending on the condition of the racquet.
Play in the zone, and inject some control, placement, power, spin, energy and confidence into your game!

Pink Nadal Nike Shoes, Normal Federer Nike Shoes To Face Off At French Open
The French Open is right around the corner, and I'm betting we're going to see these same two shoe styles in the finals.
The shoe with the pink swoosh is unrelenting, stingy and has a never-say-die attitude.
The shoe with the blue swoosh is underrated on clay, silky smooth and resilient.
That makes sense, knowing the personalities that wear them.
There are definitely some similarities...
The pink swoosh is proven and dominant on clay, perhaps the best ever to set foot on a court.
The blue swoosh is considered one of the best ever, and is also dominant, just not on clay.
Find which swoosh suits you at TheTennisZone.com, email me your order at info@thetenniszone.com, get the tracking number in a few minutes, and wait 2 days for them to arrive.
2nd Day Sipping from UPS is free for as long as these shoes are being sold at list price: $120.00 for the Nadals and $115 for the Federers.
French Open fashion is going to take a brave turn this year.
Pink, baby blue, tight, vintage style polos, khaki-style Dri-Fit shorts, and a lot more pink on male players.
Believe it or not, Nike isn't finished with fashion statements involving pink this clay court season.
That's about all I can say without losing our Nike account.
Thanks for shopping with us!

Internships At The Zone
Greetings Tennis Zone Customers, and Happy Easter!
It's that time of year.
We've been meeting a lot of new and returning seasonal tennis players lately. - Here in our shop, through our website, from leads on our blog, and from our Tennisopolis page.
Our email list is getting very diverse, and that's exciting for us to get this interest and support around the globe. - We're open 24/7, Worldwide.
Remember, you won't get these deals (or money-back if you buy on the website) if you are not on this list.
If you're in store, tell us your email, so we can check.
If you're online, we'll already know.
Now, for the point of this post...
Treat Your Feet
You're beginning to play outdoors... more frequently... with more wear and tear on your gear.
Take care of your feet this Spring.
Take this opportunity to get the shoe with the best feel, because your feet need it.
Give your feet the padding, technology or special color that they need, and remember we're setting a price cap for this week.
For this week (now until 9pm on Saturday, April 18th), every pair of shoes in our store is going to be under $100.00.
Outsole warranties still apply.
Not bad.
The entire Rafa series, the new Babolat Propulse 2 ($109.00), the Adidas Genius Novak Shoes($130), even the Lacoste Repel ($135 - in-store only) are available for $99.
By the way, that is for both shoes.
Oh, and our closeout shoes are still available in some sizes, so you'll find plenty for less than $99.00, especially ladies' styles.
Next weekend, we're moving on to another major sale item, so take care of the shoes this week.
16 Is More Than 18
Well, it will equal more shots in the court when you use the latest Aerogel Racquet.
Tennis's hottest racquet of the moment, the Dunlop Aerogel 4D 2hundred in a 16 x 19 string pattern, helps bring your powerful shot under control.
Here's why...
In the same size frame, two fewer strings make the 16 main strings further apart from each other.
There is also one fewer cross string.
The outcome: The strings bite the ball in order to generate spin and direct the ball better.
It's just like James Blake's racquet, except for the string pattern.
This makes a huge difference.
Tip: string it tightly with a firm string to get maximum spin generation!
For at least the 4.5+ top-spin hitter that can't get a clean hit with a tight string pattern (18 mains), this 16x19 WILL give you more controled hits, and MIGHT even completely change your game for the better.
Sometimes, you need to take something away from your game in order to play freely.
Take away three strings from the frame, and set your game free.
This racquet is world-renowned; that's why we worked so hard to bring it here.
I believe there is one other seller of this particular frame in the United States, aside from Tennis Zone.
If you're ordering online, shipping is free (it always is with racquets), AND we're offering a free upgrade to 2nd day shipping with UPS on all orders received this week.
If you're shopping in-store, your string upgrade is free until next weekend.
There are many more promotions for the Dunlop Aerogel 4D 2hundred on the way, so stay tuned.
In the meanwhile, it's available now!
Eastern Medicine and Tennis
I have trouble talking up products that do not work.
We try not to bring gimmicky tennis technology and solutions into the Zone.
But we are convinced this next product has something to it.
Word of the Power Balance is starting to get around, and it's no bull.
It's a band with a little shiny hologram sewed into it.
When worn, it interracts with body frequencies to increase your agility, balance and strength.
We are receiving these this week.
World class, competitive surfers are wearing them.
Chad Johnson is wearing one.
I'm told Mark Sanchez, USC quarterback is wearing one, and swears by it.
I won't go into the science of Power Balance. - I'll leave that to the company that makes it.
Just come by the shop try some agility tests with and without the Power Balance, and become a believer.
A special blog post and email will be sent out to announce their arrival (very soon!) and the beginning special we're having on them.
Happy Easter, and we'll see you soon at The Zone.
-Samer of Tennis Zone
